Book a Collection

We Collect Your Disused IT from you!

The process begins when you contact us. If you have 20 items or more, we book a spot for your collection. We collect most items – check out our full list »

Collecting your IT Equipment

Once we know how much equipment you have to collect, we dispatch suitably a sized collection team. The team will arrive at your organisation, move and collect all your unwanted equipment. Even if you’re unable to move it yourself, our team will come prepared and will happily untangle equipment from wherever it’s been installed. Just let us know this requirement when booking a collection.

Once all your equipment is loaded up, we’ll provide you with a certificate from the Environment Agency detailing the collection.

Data Security and Data Destruction

Once all of the equipment is loaded and we’ve given you the appropriate certificates – the equipment is whizzed away to one of our processing plants. The very first thing we do is sift through the equipment and seek out all data storage devices. These devices are then put through our shredder so no part of your data can be restored or recovered in any way. Find out more about our Data destruction facility »

Sorting and Breaking Down IT Equipment

Now comes the fun part where all the materials are broken down.

Our trained and experienced staff sort incoming hardware to determine
how it can best be re-used or recycled. For example;

  • Metal and plastic case parts are recycled through our carefully chosen partners.
  • We pay for old and broken glass CRT monitors to undergo a process whereby contaminant metals, such as lead and cadmium, are extracted, enabling the glass to be re-used in the manufacture of new monitors.
  • Unwanted CD’s are sent to the only CD reprocessing plant in the UK.
  • Printed circuit boards (PCB's) are processed to recover metals and components that can be re-used.
  • Some parts are also sold to help finance the recycling operation.
  • Any re-useable hardware is assembled into working systems for redistribution to schools and non-profit community projects.

Please contact us if you wish to find out whether your organisation
could benefit from our Computer Recycling program.
